Network Plus have requested a closure on behalf of Cadent Gas to allow for the safe undertaking of gas main replacement works in the village. To undertake the works safely the roads will be closed at the junction of Brixworth Road from the 10th to 28th October 2022.

Driving is an important part of our everyday life and the Northamptonshire Safer Roads Alliance (NSRA) are keen to help to keep mature drivers driving safer for longer.
Our ability to drive changes over time for different reasons, especially as we get older. It’s important that we recognise whether and how our driving is changing so we can stay safe and protect both ourselves and those around us.
This Mature Drivers Roadshow is aimed at drivers 60+, and will cover all different aspects of driving. There will be a short talk and then plenty of time to meet informally with our many stand holders.
Free advice will be available on car adaptions, eyesight, how your prescription medications may affect you and much more. There will also be limited number of FREE IAM RoadSmart Mature Driver Assessments available.

St Andrew’s 900 Festival was much curtailed by the Coronovirous pandemic in 2020 and we in the Heritage Society are delighted now to be putting on this special production for the benefit of the village.
The tickets for this much awaited and anticipated event are going out to the general public shortly. Performances will be taking place on Sat 24th September at 7.30pm and Sunday 25th September at 3.00pm.
There will be drinks available on Saturday night, and afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon. Donations will be taken in each case.
Places are limited.
West Northamptonshire Council had launched a Public Spaces Protection Order Consultation: Responsible ownership of dogs and prohibition of smoking in certain places The Council received a good response with nearly 1,300 people and organisations taking the time to complete the consultation questionnaire.
Those results have now been analysed and a Draft Order has been prepared which is attached.
The Draft Order will be taken to the next Cabinet meeting, 13th September 2022 where it’s recommended that Members approve the Draft Order and that it is implemented across the former administrative areas of Daventry District and South Northants.

The Cabinet Office has recently launched the ‘Help for Households’ campaign which explains the 41 different government schemes available to help people with the cost of living, including new one-off payments as well as existing benefits and schemes. These schemes have now been brought onto one Cost of Living Support website.

Spratton Parish Council extend their thoughts to the Royal Family following the news that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has passed.
The Parish Council will keep the website updated with details of how you can access books of condolence, both physical and online, as soon as that information is available from West Northants Council.
Spratton Parish Council purchased and are responsible for the speed cameras in the village. The Council purchased this equipment to try to reduce the speed of vehicles travelling through the village and improve road safety for all. Data from the cameras can be downloaded to monitor the speed of traffic. This data can be found attached here.

Spratton village will be holding an event for people in the village interested in housing refugees in Ukraine to support each other through the process, details to be available shortly.
My 1st Years, a children’s gift brand based in Northampton, has launched an open-ended appeal for items.
Food
Its offices at 4 Cheaney Drive, Grange Park NN4 5FB are open from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, for people to drop off donations.

The government will be launching a new sponsorship scheme to make sure that Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes have a route to safety.
The scheme will match people, charities, businesses and community groups to Ukrainians who do not have family ties to the UK.

West Northamptonshire Council have launched a Public Spaces Protection Order Consultation: Responsible ownership of dogs and prohibition of smoking in certain places.
West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is considering whether to make a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to promote responsible dog ownership and prohibit smoking in certain public spaces across the former administrative council areas of Daventry District and South Northants.
The consultation opened on Monday, 21st February and closes at midnight on Monday, 4th April 2022.
