Previously serving on Spratton Parish Council, Ruaraidh is keen to re-engage and contribute to the running of the village to keep the Parish Council well supported.

Cllr Jane Marshall
Jane was co-opted to council on 19th March 2024. Then elected 1st May 2025.
Jane and her husband William moved to Spratton some years ago. A lawyer by profession, she grew up in the Cambridgeshire Fens, trained in Norwich and spent her early married life abroad. She then pursued a career in the City as a corporate pensions specialist, contributing to a number of books and writing and lecturing on the subject.
Jane and William have four children and several grandchildren. Two sons and their families live in Newnham and Staverton, a third son lives in London and a daughter lives in Australia.
Jane is interested in education and for many years sat as a member of a University Court. She enjoyed helping with research on the recent book on Spratton Church of England Primary School written by Enid Jarvis and produced by the Spratton Local History Society.
She is fanatical about gardening.

Cllr Tom Beynon
Tom was co-opted to council on 17th September 2024. Then elected 1st May 2025.
Having been born in the village and moved back several years ago, Tom brings a great deal of affinity and local knowledge.
Now keen to bolster the Parish Council, enabling action and delivery of services for the village, Tom is happy to assist as best he can and give something back to the village.

Cllr Gary Ashton
Gary was co-opted to council on 15th October 2024. Then elected 1st May 2025.
Living in the village with his family since 2002, Gary has previously served on the Parish Council, where he chaired the Spratton Folk Festival Group from 2004 to 2008, over that period bringing in over £10,000 through grant funding to make the festival financially viable.
Gary and his wife also ran the Youth Club in the village from 2011 to 2016, and has continued to support village activities such as the occasional litter pick.
Bringing a wealth of experience and village knowledge, Gary is keen to see Spratton maintain and improve its services to the community; grow its sense of community cohesion and engagement; and develop to meet community needs.

Parish Clerk

Alan Youel
Alan joined Spratton Parish Council as Clerk & RFO in May 2024.
After a successful career in engineering, latterly in the food industry as a Shift Technical Line Leader, Alan is now utilising his significant experience and knowledge of the Parish Council level of Local Government, as a Parish Clerk.
Alan has two grown up children at opposite ends of the country, and can be seen frequently caravanning around these areas and beyond.
